What it Helps with

Picture

Products Tested

Hemp
Hemp is legal, no CBD detected. It is a healthy fat that is infused in somebody’s products because of its moisturizing properties. Hemp can also be wearable fiber or clothes. It contains 0.5% of THC and lower.

THC
THC is one of many compounds found in the resin secreted by glands of the cannabis plant. The average amount found in cannabis is 12% and is not hemp-derived. THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the chemical responsible for most of marijuana's temporary side effects that is psychological. It has a psychoactive compound that creates the high you feel! It can also release dopamine whole creating a euphoria. People that use Cannabis often experience memory issues because their hippocampus is affected. ( see out brain health series to improve that :D )  In the case of persons as young as 14 using THC can cause decreased memory and cognition issues. Dronabinol aka Tetrahydrocannabinol is what is also helpful for persons that have Cancer and AIDS, it increases the appetite and prevents nausea.  Cannabis is only legal in certain states, but the incarceration rates for it are high. When using in the edible form be sure to portion or microdose to prevent seeking medical help.

CBD
CBD  is legal everywhere as of 2018 and is not weed. It has healing properties without any side effects. Meaning that it is not psychoactive but is made up of no more than 0.3% THC. per federal regulations no more than that is allowed inside. CBD is cannabis and hemp-derived being discovered in 1940, it can mellow out your nervous system and ways of ingestion. The chemical compound from Sativa plant is what allows CBD to be used for “pain management”.
( forms gel to rub into skin, tubes that are jelly, vapes, edibles, vitamins, bath bombs etc.)

8 Dimensions of Health and Wellness

Often when we talk about health in the USA we only associate it with eating “healthy” or how you look and feel. In 1976 BIll Hettler created the dimensions of wellness to give us an idea of what our general health is encompassed of.  Below I decided to list a few questions for every dimension of wellness that will get you thinking about your overall health. These questions below are quality journal prompts along with your thoughts about the current place you are and the emotions you carry about your life currently.
